  Purchased a new Casio GW7900 online on January 31st, 2018.
  
  Discovered that the auto-light feature (the main reason I bought the watch) wasn't working. I found out later that this was a very common defect with several models of Casio watches, including the GW7900 and 5610.
  
  I called Casio customer service, who asked for the serial number, then told me they would repair under warranty, gave me a case number and told me to call the Casio Repair Center.
  
  I called the repair center and was, again, told that they would fix it under warranty and to send the watch, at MY expense, to the repair center.
  
  A week and a half later, I got an email from Casio stating that I had to pay $83.32 for them to fix the watch and send it back to me.
  
  It was 2 months old, I already paid $99 for the watch, $10 to ship it to them and they want me to pay another $83.32 for a watch that has a manufacturer defect?!
  
  Or, pay another $8 for them to send an unrepaired, defective watch back to me?!
  
  Since I have no interest in shelling out MORE money for a broken watch, I'm not paying. So the watch will be scrapped.
  
  Not only are they in breach of their own warranty, but violating the laws of merchantability in most states.
  
  I have 6 other Casio watches and would have purchased many more, but this is the last one.
  
  Casio refusing to honor their warranty is despicable.
